Hello. I’m Daniel

a585f94f-797d-4f67-85f0-52686c62b89a

I’m glad you’re here.

I practice and teach Natural Meditation.

I write for Patheos, I’m a former member of the board of directors for The Tattooed Buddha.

I’ve taught at One Mind Zen Hermitage, The Open Heart Project, and the Rime Center Buddhist Community.

In my day job I’m  a union labor activist.

I specialize in bringing meditation practice and Buddhism to people in a practical way that applies to real life. I teach in groups and retreats.

I’m based in Kansas City, Missouri.

I specialize in bringing meditation practice to people who feel like they aren’t spiritual enough or they don’t fit in in any spiritual communities. We all feel like we don’t belong sometimes.

I believe meditation is about learning to be more genuine, seeing the world clearly, and being more fully present in our lives. My goal is to meet people where they are and give them a little guidance and encouragement.

I’ve gone through teacher training at The Yogamu Institute, The Anchor Meditation Studio, and The Rime Center Buddhist Community.

I am registered as a teacher with Meditation Alliance International and The International Chan Buddhist Institute.

Individual Sessions

I do individual mentoring work with students all around the world. If you’re interested, send me a message and we’ll see if we can schedule something.
